The Saga of the Mantle: Fidelity

*Blog Catch-up*
In this tale the only fidelity that matters is that of the women. Who cares if the men haven’t been faithful to their ladies? All that matters is that the women have been faithful to their knights. I understand why the ladies fidelity was more important during those times, but why wasn’t the fidelity of the men important? If the unfaithfulness of a woman could seriously harm the image and reputation of the knight, why couldn’t the faithfulness of the knight himself to his lady damage his reputation? I don’t understand how that wasn’t as important as the fidelity of the woman.
